There really isn’t a category specific enough for this question, so I thought I should post it here also. Thanks.

I am tired of fighting my child’s doctor. Actually, I’m pretty tired of mainstream medicine in general, but it has to be covered by my insurance,so I don’t have a choice.

I don’t need someone who is on the DAN list necessarily, but I need someone who isn’t HOSTILE to the alternative medical community’s treatments and who doesn’t automatically write off the whole vaccine/autism thing as being a lie stupid people tell themselves.

This is my child I am talking about; I am asking you in advance to only answer me if you have the answer I’m seeking. I’m not interested in a debate on this topic or being upset even more today than I already am.

Luci, no, none of these doctors are on my insurance, and since they seem to be DAN doctors, I have pretty much come to the conclusion that it’s a given that they won’t be.

I just need a pediatrician who while NOT a DAN doctor, per se, just isn’t all gung ho about vaccinations and is willing to try to test anything she can figure out an insurance code for. I just want someone who is not as totally not on the same page with me as my daughter’s first pediatrician or this one.

Well, unfortunately, that’s what I find myself doing, for me (for different reasons) as well as for my child. It is incredibly time-consuming and very frustrating and upsetting and all I can do is wish to God I had the money to throw at a holistic pediatrician.

The production of Food and Medicine is under a direct threat if oil jumped due to Iranian or Iraqi or any other true threat to it’s free flow throughout the worlds free markets. Cheap oil assures cheap prices and surpluses of food and Medicine which is the main Staple of survival for most of the worlds Poor. Alternative fuels are an option but would ensure the death of a Billion poor before it was an efficiant replacement. The wars civil, economisc and International would kill untold millions. Free market economies would be overthrown by starving masses a super war would ensue. The US and it’s Allies are trying to be proactive and ensure stabilization. It is however not in the interest of many rogue nations and many politicos bent on the destruction of the west. make a mental list of how you would cope if oil was at $ 300 per barrel. Would you call for WAR then?

Everyone would be hurt, it would destroy the economy all over the world. It would throw the world into a deeper depression then any that we have ever seen.

Edit: Bush is the problem not the answer, the war in Iraq has destablized the price of oil, It was selling much cheaper before we invaded Iraq and destabolized that part of the world, which happens to be one of the biggest oil producers.

I am very low income and the government pays for my medicine. I have had to get a hysterectomy at the age of 34 and take replacement hormones. When I found out premarine was made from pregnant mare urine I stopped taking it and started taking estrate. because of the way they got the urine, it is major animal abuse. They take the mare and put her in a stall were she can barely move for about 7 months. With cup like tube over there vulva that goes to a jug to collect the urine. They keep the mare dehydrated so the urine is more concentrated. Its hard to explain. For a better understanding of what I’m trying to say go to premarine on the net. Warning it is very graphic. Well I’m 46 now and had to start taking premarine cream again for more female problems. This has increased my chances of getting breast cancer, heart disease, and a long list of other side affects. There is a alternative with less side affects, but I can not afford it. What I want to know is why is our government is supporting this product. Because they’re intelligent enough to realize that regardless of what animal activists say a human life is more important than an animal’s welfare. Even you recognize this fact by continuing to use this product even though you know of the treatment of animals used to make this product. Also that long list of side affects is just to cover themselves so they don’t get sued if someone happens to get a disease that originally wouldn’t have been listed due to it’s extremely small chance of contracting it. The average percentage of someone getting a serious side affect from a medicine is less than 2%.
