i have 2 daughters, ages 9 and 7. one of them still has her baby weight + more if u know what i mean. i want to do a detox with fruits and veggies with her for a while. Will that be safe? she likes carrots,fruit and nuts. i don’t know how to plan an menu for her. it breaks my heart because she told me that kids call her fat. she sings and dance all day long not lazy at all. i don’t want her skinny, but as healthy as she can possibly get. School will be here in two weeks i want her focus and happy. mentally and physically. we are active and she is very, very smart. once before, health is what im concern of. when i was pregnant with her i had diabetes; had to have a c-section because she was a very big baby. i just love my child. my other daughter she’s ok as far a weight but, is very lazy and hate eating veggies. i want her to eat healthy also so that she will be able to concentrate on her school work and have more natural energy for the entire day, she complains of being tired and sleepy all the time. both girls are lovable and im trying to be the best mommy ever. i just changed my eating habits one month ago to almost vegan. i just need more education on it. my eating plan for myself is messed up to me.

better talk to a nutritionist before becoming one yourself. i had a friend that tried this with her kids. it got them anemia, and got her a divorce.

I have had fatigue, bloating, sudden acne, and I had a boil on my face late last year that had to be treated with antibiotics and now I had a infection on my gum, I saw a dentist, there was nothing wrong with my teeth, the dentist was puzzled, and it was treated w/ antibiotics as well.
I take good care of myself,am disease free, not overweight, etc. but wonder if I have a some sort of deficicany and could try taking specific vitamins or some other type of alternative treatment? Serious answers only.

Get a good colon cleanser. There are lots of them on the market. Cleaning the colon will help with the skin problems. Also think about some cranberry juice ( to help the kindneys remove toxins) and some type of probiotic ( yogurt, kefir or tablets) You need the probiotics to replace the ones that the antibiotics killed in your system.
You can find all of them online or a good health food store.

I found out what I would like to do as far as a job/career is concerned….I think….anyway,.lately after doing some “soul searching” I have decided that I would LOVE to do reiki healing because well..i like the idea of being able to help/heal people and it to me it just feels like something good for me to do…I am also interested in learning crystal therapy, aromatherapy,energy,meditation, chakras,massage, etc. I would love to do something with alternative medicine/healing maybe…maybe teach yoga or become a motivational speaker? I am interested in becoming some kind of metaphysical therapist/spiritual healer/teacher/psychologist/intuitive/ whatever else they are called…has anyone heard of or has tried any of the things I have listed that interest me? Is there a school I can go to to learn all of this stuff? I was thinking about transferring to University of North Carolina at Ashville….any help/advice/info. would be greatly appreciated!

It is so good to see someone who has concern/love for needy people. Today it is so difficult to come across such people. To pursue your interest I don’t think there is any Institution that can impart such knowledge. However, I know of one source, where you don’t have to spend a single pie. Just read the passage is ! Corinthians 12: v4-11. Healing is a Gift given by God. Ask Him and He will give it to you at no cost.

Alternative Medicine is a big field. Do you want to be a naturopath, herbalist, massage therapist, chiropractor etc etc.
Check out colleges that train naturopaths, chiroprators etc and see what courses they require.
Best of all, speak to your school Guidance department, who should be able to correctly answer this question for you.

I have read tons of stuff on the Internet which suggests I have candidiasis, but am quite skeptical about whether many of the ‘symptoms’ — ‘headaches, mood swings, food sensitivities’ — are really candidiasis or a number of other possibilities. I did the ‘spit test’ and it was positive. I’ve read some doctors say candidiasis is all essentially a marketing scheme for naturalists and herbalists, and don’t know what to think in the end.
I have no insurance, and almost no money, and so I can’t see a doctor. There are no ‘free clinics’ where I live.
I am male, so I have none of the ‘vaginal’ symptoms, obviously. But all the other symptoms people tie to candidiasis are there, getting worse. I don’t have diabetes or HIV/AIDs, by the way, which I know are often causal. But I’m feeling constantly lethargic, unmotivated, grumpy, and as if I’m getting stupider. Lots of anxiety, as well.
So can anybody give me some first-hand and/or credible info on this condition?
If I get my hands on some Fluconozole, would it be detrimental to my health if I DIDN’T have candidiasis and took it? And how many should I take?
I have been misdiagnosed by doctors in the past but am not sure how reliable ‘alternative medicine’ really is in a situation like this.
Is there a good way to deal with candidiasis that would be cheap and would not harm my health if I’ve been wrongly diagnosed (by myself or others) as having candidiasis?
Please don’t answer that I just need to see a MD. I know I should. It’s a matter of money. I will see one when I have funds to. Until then, I could use an answer.
And please, no insistence I’m a hypochondriac. That seems to happen a lot on these boards to people who have done any research on their own. It’s tiring.
Sorry for the long list of questions. Supposedly, ‘brain fogginess’ is a symptom of candidiasis, so there you go.

Your right! I think you are a hypochondriac also. Self diagnosis can be very harmful. See the school nurse. I suspect its hormones flushing your system.

This wont help you with the sleepiness but it could help in the future when you are sick or feel a cold coming on…
I just started using a neti pot for sinus issues and it works like a charm. It also kept my nose from running constantly. Basically it looks like a tea pot. You fill it will salt water, tip your head to the side and gently pour it through one nostril. It will come out of the other nostril and push a bunch of mucous out with it. It sounds wierd and gross but it have saved me from some annoying head colds and sinus pain. It doesnt hurt but it can feel odd and slightly uncomfortable. You can buy one at walmart, they are in the pharmacy section.
As for being tired today you could stay home and try to get better or drink coffee. If you are congested I would avoid creamer as that will make it worse
